Do you wonder if your Bible is an approved Catholic Bible? - The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Can help with the link below.
There are four Canons of Scripture: The Jewish, Orthodox, Catholic, and Protestant/Reformed Canon:
·The Jewish Canon focuses on the Law in the first five books of the Bible (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy), The Prophets, and Old Testament writings.
·The Orthodox Canon has everything that is in the Catholic Canon but has a bit more. It is in consideration of what is considered canonical. The Orthodox Canon focuses on the difference of Divine Revelation and Canonical.
·The Protestant/Reformed Canon of Scripture goes to the Protestant Reformation of 1517 and the divorce request of King Henry the 8th, most notably the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible.
·The Catholic Canon of Scripture includes scripture that is not found in the Protestant/Reformed Canon. The Catholic Canon of Scripture includes what is found in the Jewish Canon of Scripture as, historically, Jesus was Jewish himself.
