Bible Study: Fall 2023
September 11 – November 20, 2023
Discover What It Means to “Be Saved”
Paul’s letter to the Romans has been at the center of reflection, conversion, and controversy from the time it was written. Indeed, many Catholics fear that Romans is too “Protestant.” But understood correctly, as St. Paul intended, Romans is authentically Catholic and it will help you enter into a more meaningful relationship with Christ.
Romans reveals that salvation is not merely the removal of a guilty verdict; it is about entering into Christ’s life, death, and resurrection and sharing in his divine life. In Jesus Christ all the hopes and expectations of Israel are fulfilled, leading to the universal (“catholic”) family of God. Romans: The Gospel of Salvation provides an authentically Catholic, comprehensive, and simple way to understand the overarching theme of Romans—salvation.
St Mary’s Catholic Church Biblical Adventures Study Group will be using Romans: The Gospel of Salvation to help you make sense of this challenging epistle regarding faith, works of the law, and justification.
The Study will be September 11 – November 20, 2023. The cost will be about $30 (financial assistance is available). For more information or to register please contact [email protected].
