On Saturday, 3/10 the St. Mary’s chapter of the Knights of Columbus and the women of the St. Ann's Society teamed up to knock out much of the insulation and drywall on Habitat for Humanity House #17 here in Fredericksburg. Over a dozen men and several women showed up to work, and a great time was had by all. Seasoned builders and newbies teamed up and helped each other get the job done. Conversation and laughter were peppered with the sounds of drills and saws throughout the day. The sandwich lunch provided by St. Ann’s left nothing to be desired, and many returned for a second helping (especially for those delicious chocolate cookies).
Many thanks to the men and women who helped out on Saturday, and we look forward to YOU joining us on the next Habitat for Humanity workday!
